Design Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:
The Preliminary and Conceptual Design Engineer is responsible for generating design concepts for turbine engine components. Designs must take into account durability, cost, schedule, and component manufacturability. This position reports to the Principal engineer responsible for design.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform preliminary and conceptual design work to support the development of gas turbine engine components.
Responsible for developing and creating innovative design solutions to support cutting edge turbine engine technology.
Implementation of design methods and philosophies to provide design solutions which optimize component cost, weight and durability.
Support the quality, manufacturing and procurement functions during the design and manufacturing development cycle.
Contribute to the interdisciplinary design optimization process to meet overall product specification in accordance with our clients Integrate Product Team guidelines. The Design Engineer must pay particular attention to technical, economical and schedule goals.
Participate as a collaborative engineering team member. |
