Systems Engineer
Position Summary:
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the systems engineer function on proposal and product development teams.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
' Understand and collaborate in the design efforts of a variety of engineering disciplines to include mechanical, electronic design (digital and analog), and manufacturing leading to the development of electro-mechanical systems.
' Based on fundamental engineering principles, predict the system level performance of candidate approaches and select the optimum approach to fit the needs of the customer
' Understand/interpret customer specifications and requirements; document and disseminate to team members
' Prepare statements of works and be primary interface with vendors and/or customers for technical aspects of a program
' Perform requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware specifications.
' Define and design system specifications, assess architecture and hardware limitations, input/output process and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
' Define technical performance metrics
' Generate system verification/validation test plans
